演 讲 人:Christopher Findlay from November 2005 took up the position Professor of Economics and Head of the School of Economics at the University of Adelaide. Before returning to Adelaide he was Professor of Economics in the Asia Pacific (now the Crawford) School of Economics and Government at the Australian National University. Australia's economic relations with Asia are the theme of his research. Special interests are the international trade and investment in services, and Australia's trade in gricultural products with the region. Professor Findlay has a PhD and MEc from the ANU and an Honours degree ineconomics from the University of Adelaide. He was elected a Member of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia in 2002 and he became a Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia in January 2007.
